These amazing muffins, perfect for breakfast or served as a dessert, will satisfy even the most pretentious chocolate lovers. These muffins are incredibly easy to make – you just mix some ingredients, you bake them et voilà, you have some fluffy and tender beauties. The buttermilk gives them such a soft and moist texture and the brown sugar gives them a rich, caramel flavor. And the most interesting part is the fact that they are ready in less than 30 minutes. Crumb Cake with Grape and Walnut Compote
This divine cake has two layers: a vanilla-flavored fluffy sponge and a buttery cinnamon topping. It is such a lovely cake, extremely easy to make and incredibly tasty. I served this amazing cake with a delicate and fragrant grape-walnut compote, which I prepared while the cake was in the oven. Continue reading Crumb Cake with Grape and Walnut Compote
No-Bake Lime Cheesecake
This lovely no-bake cheesecake is such an exquisite dessert. It is the perfect ballance between the richness of the condensed milk and the acidity from the limes. It is so flavorful and fresh which makes it the best way to finish a sumptuous dinner.
Česnica – Traditional Serbian Christmas Pie
Česnica is a Serbian brioche made from flour and water and is served on Christmas Eve. Its name comes from the noun cest = share (beautiful, isn’t it?). The person who prepares this delicious dessert always hides a coin inside it. The coin brings luck to whomever finds it.
My grandmother used to prepare this treat each year. But our Česnica was different. It was filled with a rich walnut mixture and coated with a decadent honey glaze. My grandmother used to turn flour and water into an extremely elastic dough. Then she used to stretch the dough into several thin sheets just by using her hands. It was such a delight to watch her!

Chocolate-Meringue Buttercream Cake
I love chocolate cakes! They taste like heaven. I tried lots of chocolate cake recipes and I can honestly say that I’ve found a perfect version. It has a brownie-like sponge and a fabulous chocolate-meringue buttercream. And another great thing is the fact that it’s made in less than 2 hours.

Brioches Suisses
I can honestly say that brioche is my favorite dessert. I cannot picture something more delicious than freshly baked brioche. And the best part is yet to come: if you have leftovers (that is one big IF), you can transform brioche in a flavourful pudding or a French toast, perfect for breakfast. Genious, right?
I simply adore brioche suisses. They are golden brioche rectangles filled with crème de patisserie and dark chocolate flakes. They are so rich and tasty!
Hummingbird Cake
I love homemade sweets. They taste different. They taste like happiness. Besides its adorable name, this cake tastes amazing. It is the perfect combination between a flavourful and moist sponge and a delicious sour-sweet icing. I took this recipe from Joy of baking and I’ve made my adjustments. The original recipe includes 2 layers of sponge and one layer of icing. I baked only one sponge (by halving the amount of ingredients required in the original recipe) and it turned out to be more than enough for 8 servings.
Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies
I love peanut butter. I could eat it directly from a jar with my fingers a spoon. Peanut butter is not only tasty, but nutritious too (packed with protein, healthy fatty acids and fiber). Whenever I crave something sweet and peanut-buttery, I bake peanut butter oatmeal cookies. They are delicious and surprinsingly healthy. Oh… and they are dairy-free and gluten-free.
